<p>NEWYORK, NY, March 18, 2011 &#8212; Post Acute Partners, LLC, a New York City–based owner and operator of post acute healthcare facilities, today announced the hiring of Mike Burns as Chief Operating Officer of its Pediatric Specialty Care division.<br />

Mr. Burns, a registered nurse, has spent the past 14 years working in the acute care and post-acute healthcare settings. Prior to joining Post Acute Partners, Mr. Burns spent eight years as CEO of CareOne at Raritan Bay Medical Center, the first licensed Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) in New Jersey<br />
and the first to receive Joint Commission (JCAHO) accreditation. In addition, Mr. Burns oversaw the construction, hiring, managing of State and Federal licensing surveys, and completion of the licensure applications for two 32-bed LTACH units.</p>
<p>From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Burns served as CEO of the acute pulmonary unit at Kindred Healthcare’s Meadowlands Hospital with responsibility for the financial, operational and clinical success of this 24 bed unit and 100+ nurses, respiratory therapists, doctors and administrators.</p>
<p>Prior to Kindred Healthcare, Mr. Burns was a BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certified Charge Nurse in the Open Heart Recovery Room of Hackensack University Medical Center. There he performed invasive cardiac monitoring with Swan-Ganz catheters, regulated medicated drips, and managed post-operative patients.<br />
Mr. Burns moved to this position from Morristown Memorial Hospital where he worked from 1997 to 2000 as a Charge Nurse overseeing clinical staff on a Med-Surg floor.</p>
<p>Mr. Burns received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from New York University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing- Accelerated Program from Seton Hall University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Felician College. He is a Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Prior to beginning his healthcare career, Mr. Burns worked as an operations manager for ten years for IBM in Manhattan.</p>

<p>NEWYORK, NY, 3/28/2011 – Post Acute Partners, LLC, a New York City – based owner and operator of post acute healthcare facilities, today announced the hiring of Ian Oppel as Vice President of Rehabilitation Services.</p>
<p><span id="more-147"></span>Mr. Oppel has spent his entire career, over 15 years of work experience, in the post-acute sector of healthcare. Prior to joining Post Acute Partners, Mr. Oppel spent four years as Chief Operating Officer for Blue Sky Therapy Management, a provider of contract rehabilitation services in the settings of longterm care, home healthcare, and outpatient care. At Blue Sky, Mr. Oppel oversaw contract rehabilitation management programs for 40 skilled nursing facilities and seven home healthcare agencies, with responsibility for over 300 full-time employees. During his tenure, Blue Sky annual revenue grew from<br />
$7 million to $25 million, and increased the number of facilities under contract from 17 to 40.</p>
<p>Prior to Blue Sky, Mr. Oppel served as Vice President of Rehabilitation Services for Tandem Healthcare (now Consulate Healthcare), which owned and operated over 70 nursing homes in several states, as well as a contract rehabilitation management company. While with Tandem, Mr. Oppel grew into several positions during his decade-long tenure, from therapist, to oversight of a facility rehabilitation department, to Regional Vice President. Ultimately, as Vice President, Mr. Oppel oversaw rehabilitation management programs for 41 Skilled Nursing Facilities with over 150 full-time employees.<br />
Mr. Oppel received a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1995, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2002, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. He has served as an adjunct faculty member for the University of St. Augustine, an Advanced Degree University, where he taught Fundamentals in Orthopedics.</p>

<p>NEWYORK, NY, February 1, 2011 &#8212; Post Acute Partners, LLC, a New York City-based owner and operator of post acute healthcare facilities, today announced the completion of an acquisition of a portfolio of five pediatric specialty care facilities and one assisted living facility for adults, all in Pennsylvania.<br />

The acquired portfolio, which will operate under the name “Pediatric Specialty Care, a Post Acute Partners Company” makes Post Acute Partners the largest operator of pediatric specialty facilities in Pennsylvania. Pediatric Specialty Care will operate 180 licensed beds at facilities in Point Pleasant, Lancaster, Hopewell/Aliquippa, Doylestown, and Quakertown.</p>
<p>Pediatric Specialty Care provides short term and long term care for children for whom home care is either impossible or impracticable due to the medical complexity of their cases. Highly trained, dedicated staff serve technologically dependent children whose challenges arise from complications relating to Premature Birth, Congenital Birth Defects, Respiratory Diseases, Head Injuries, and Seizure Disorders.</p>

<p>Post Acute Partners previously closed the acquisition of Scallop Shell Nursing &amp; Rehabilitation, a 72-bed skilled nursing facility in Peace Dale, RI on December 30, 2010.</p>
